Yvette Juarez Ms.Lehmann English 1-1A 20 March 2019 My Opinion on As You Like It In my opinion As you like itwas a fantastic play. Normally, I do not like to watch plays, but for this one, I was really interested. I enjoyed how they brought everything to life and how they had everyone in the crowd laughing. Their improv was good, too. I like how they went along with the bell as if it was meant to be a part of the show. The costumes were probably my favorite part of the play. Fashion has always been one of my favorite things to do, and they executed it perfectly. Each character had their own sense of style that fit their personality. Just by looking at their costume, you could tell what they were going to be like. For example, Phoebe had a loud costume with big hair, and she ended up being a loud person and sort of bratty. Rosalind just had a purple dress, and she was calmer and kept to herself. The acting was great. All the characters had an important role and knew exactly how to execute it. Although the actors and actresses played different roles, they did such a great job interpreting their personality and how different each character acted. Celia did a fantastic job distinguishing her character from her other character, Duke Senior. From her posture to her movements to her voice, everything was done perfectly! The music and sound effects were awesome. I liked how they had a stereo acting as the thing playing the music even though it wasn’t. Planning the music and sound effects I could imagine was probably the toughest part of the play. I loved the idea of using just one song for when each character fell in love with one another; it really helped everyone else understand exactly what was going on. In conclusion, As You Like It, written by William Shakespeare, was a well done play by Shakespearience. I loved everything about it and how it made everyone laugh and kept people interested in what was going on. I loved their costumes and how creative everyone was with their acting and characters.
